Entrepreneurship is a path that calls for a lot of fervor, tenacity, and toil. The path to success, nevertheless, is not without obstacles. Every entrepreneur faces a variety of challenges as they start and expand their business. It’s not often people will open up to you about the challenges they face on a daily business, you are presented with success stories so much it can be hard to remember that while it is rewarding, there are obstacles that must be overcome to succeed. In today’s post, I want to share with you my thoughts on some challenges that entrepreneurs face everyday!

Loneliness
Loneliness can be hard to endure, it can be hard to stay committed as an entrepreneur. You must be willing to make the hard choices, and even sacrifices at times. If you want to build yourself up a stable income, you can’t afford to take the easier route, this includes having less personal time to spend doing what you love. There will be plenty of time to enjoy yourself when that business is paying for it in its entirety!

Feeling lost
Sometimes it can be hard to know what to do. This is your venture, being done your way, it’s not uncommon to reach crossroads, and not be sure of which path to take. Even now after being an entrepreneur for years I still have my doubts, and it often comes down to common sense, and a gut feeling, both of which I’ve learned to trust. But you shouldn’t be afraid to reach out when you find yourself in a bind, all people find it hard to reach out when they need it, but sometimes another’s expertise is the fastest way out of a tough spot. There are plenty of people out there you can turn to, even if they are not an expert in your field, it never hurts to have an outside perspective on things. Financial difficulties
When you first start out, the obvious challenge is a lack of funds in the beginning, sadly we don’t all have the luxury of being able to start an entirely new venture and invest millions from the get-go, though it would make things a lot easier if we could.
I certainly did not have that kind of money when I started, I had to start small and then gradually build myself up until I was able to establish multiple streams of residual income. Maintaining focus, and a positive mental attitude is essential to staying afloat, even if you don’t want to. Opportunities may pass you by when you aren’t ready to grasp them, but that’s OK! You need to keep building and wait for the next big opportunity.

Comparing yourself to others
It can be hard watching people who are already making it big or watching people overtake you. It’s demoralizing to not get your big break yet. It’s a far overdone phrase, but believing in oneself cannot be understated. It takes perseverance to succeed in the world of entrepreneurship and to be a leader. Quitting at the first sign of trouble will demoralize you even further. It’s YOUR dream, you must decide how hard YOU want you to fight for it.
Do any of these sound familiar? Let me be real – it’s not easy, it’s simple but not easy especially when you run more than one business. There are days when you don’t even know HOW, you have to constantly remind yourself WHY, and when it doesn’t happen you blame your lack of knowledge in getting the job done.
Every entrepreneur, business owner, company director, and professional sometimes feels the same way. They may not admit it but they do!! Your ability to persevere and do it regardless always pays off in the end. The times you listen and do not listen to yourself pay dividends too. Sooooo…
